Why the broken face.

The image on the homepage is a portrait of me, treated with a Japanese visual concept called kintsugi.

Kintsugi is a centuries-old practice in Japan of repairing broken pottery — bowls, plates, vessels that have cracked or shattered — by filling the cracks with gold. Instead of hiding the breaks, the repair is made visible, deliberate, and valuable. The bowl is more beautiful after the break than it was before. The repair is part of the story. The repair is what makes it strong.

The metaphor is the entire NevsWorld doctrine in one image.

Resilience is not the absence of breaks. Every senior operator I respect has been broken by deals that died, leaders who failed them, family crises that arrived without warning, careers that collapsed and rebuilt. The ones who became stronger didn't pretend the breaks never happened. They repaired honestly, made the repair visible, and kept going.

The gold on my face in the portrait is not damage. It is the repair. It is what NevsWorld teaches: not how to avoid breaking, but how to repair so well that the breaks become structural — the gold seams that hold the rest of you together when the next pressure arrives.

This discipline runs through all three chapters of NevsWorld.

In the home, it means systems that hold when the lights go out, the storm hits, or the call comes and the people inside the system repair without panic.

In sales, it means deals that die, quarters that miss, and reorganizations that gut your pipeline, followed by operators who rebuild stronger, with the broken places becoming the spine of the next year's results.

In leadership, it means the failed initiative, the difficult conversation you avoided, the team you let down and repaired in the open, in a way that makes you more trusted, not less, on the other side

Resilience is a discipline. The discipline is kintsugi, applied to humans.
